Practice Exams
Practice Exams provide candidates an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the format of the test questions on the NPCB Certification Examination. It is important to note that performance on the practice examination is not a predictor of whether a candidate will pass or fail NPCB’s competency-based certification examination. It does not give an advantage over candidates who do not choose to take them and is not the only or preferred route to adequately prepare for the certification examination.

What to expect from the practice exam
Each practice examination contains 50 questions designed to simulate the certification exam experience.
Candidates have 60 minutes to complete the practice test and review responses.
Questions are written by nurse practitioner content experts and reflect entry-level competencies.
Practice exam scores are reported as percentages and are not scaled like certification exams.
Practice exams are available through your NPCB online account after purchase.
Scores are confidential and are not used for certification purposes.
The cost of one Practice Exam is $50 USD. Each purchased exam may only be taken once; however, the exam can be purchased multiple times.
