AANPCB Welcomes New Chief Credentialing Officer

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is pleased to announce Pamela Ing, PhD, ICE-CCP will become the Chief Credentialing Officer (CCO) of the AANPCB effective October 15th, 2024.

Dr. Ing has worked closely with AANPCB leadership and subject-matter experts since 2022, providing strategic oversight and facilitation of all psychometric and exam development work, including the development of AANPCB's newest program, the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner examination. In 2023, Dr. Ing received the Next Gen Professional Award from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) for her commitment to developing the skills necessary for success in the credentialing profession.  Dr. Ing holds a doctorate in Quantitative Psychology (Psychometrics) and is an I.C.E. Certified Credentialing Professional with over 12 years of experience in overseeing every aspect of certification exam development, maintenance, and accreditation. 

Dr. Ing is actively engaged in the credentialing community through annual conference presentations at I.C.E., CLEAR, ATP, CNAR, and FARB, currently serves on the I.C.E. Program Committee and as a Psychometric Reviewer for the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC), and served as a Psychometric Assessor for the ISO/IEC 17024 Standard for three years.
