AANPCB Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is pleased to announce Tanya Carroccio, DNP, MBA, AGNP-BC, NEA-BC will become the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the AANPCB effective January 21, 2025.

In her former roles as Chief Quality Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Nursing Executive, Dr. Carroccio led transformative quality assurance initiatives that improved patient outcomes, streamlined regulatory processes, and optimized clinical workflows. Her ability to navigate complex systems and align operational goals with organizational strategy underscores her reputation as a results-driven leader.

With over 25 years as a healthcare provider, Dr. Carroccio serves as a faculty member at Arizona State University and is founder of her own healthcare practice.

Based in Austin, TX, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board is an independent, non-profit certifying body whose purpose is to provide a valid and reliable program for the evaluation of individuals wishing to enter, continue, and/or advance in the NP profession through the certification process. Certifying more than 220,000 NPs across the U.S. and Canada, AANPCB's certification programs include the Family NP, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP, Psychiatric Mental Health NP, Emergency NP, Adult NP, and Gerontologic NP programs.
