October 2014- The annual Ballot for the election of Commissioners for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) is now open for voting. This is an important event since the members of the Commission govern the actions of the entire certification program. Candidates are elected by AANPCP Certificants and must receive a majority vote to be elected Commissioner. Two positions, one representing Family Nurse Practitioners and one representing Adult Nurse Practitioners will be decided this year.

Certificants who cast their ballot during this election will have the opportunity to win a free Recertification (waiver of the recertification fee at the next time the Certificant applies for recertification). This will be determined by a random drawing of 2 names at the close of elections. The 2 winners will be notified by email.

The ballot opened Sunday, October 12th and will remain open through the end of Sunday, October 26th. The ballot was sent via email from aanpcert.org to the Certificants' current address on file.
