October 2015 - All Certificants who vote will be entered into a random drawing to win one of two certification renewal fees. NPs currently certified by AANPCP are responsible for electing the Certification Program Commissioners. Elections are held annually in October via a secure electronic voting format. Please look for an email announcement from certification@aanpcert.org this weekend. If you do not receive it, contact certification@aanpcert.org or call (512) 637-0500.
The Commissioners of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) are responsible for the administration and development of the National Certification Program. Therefore, all Certificants are encouraged to read the Candidate Bios and vote for these very important positions. To be elected Commissioner, candidates must receive a majority vote. Once elected, duties on the Certification Board begin January 1, 2016, for a 3-year term.
Certificants will receive an email with instructions for voting for two candidates representing Family Nurse Practitioners and one candidate representing Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners. The ballot will open on October 18 and close at midnight (PST) on October 31.
All voters will be entered into a random drawing in which two Certificants will receive a voucher for waiver of their next Recertification Application Fee.
