2018 Commissioner Election Results - The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board, Inc. is pleased to announce the results of the Certification Commission elections.
Mona M. Counts, PhD, CRNP, FNAP, FAAN, FAANP was elected, and both Mary Ellen Roberts, DNP, RN, APRN, FNAP, FAAN, FAANP and Kathy Wheeler, PhD, RN, APRN, FNP, NP-C, FNAP, FAANP were each re-elected to the Board of Commissioners. They will each serve 3-year terms beginning January 1st, 2018. In addition to contributing to the NP certification programs and NP profession, AANPCB is grateful for Dr. Counts, Dr. Wheeler, and Dr. Roberts for their leadership and willingness to represent Family and Adult/Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners.
The Board would like to express gratitude to Vickie Anderson, MS, APRN, FNP-C, whose term will end on December 31st, 2017, for her years of service as an AANPCB Commissioner.
A full list of commissioners is available under the tab About AANPCB. Final voter count was 8,169 that represents 8.2% of all eligible certificants (N = 99,442). Thank you to all who participated in this election process.
A random drawing of two names was done following the close of the election process. Certificants who cast their ballot during this particular election were entered into a drawing for the opportunity to win a voucher for the waiver of their next recertification fee. Rebecca Collins, AGNP-C (Waltham, MA) and Chad Barylski, FNP-C (Santa Rosa, CA) were awarded these vouchers. Thank you to all who participated in this process.
